Last weekend, Mitchelstown was the Place to Be! Indiependence has been getting bigger and better every year and this year was definitely the best yet. The sold out festival rocked Mitchelstown, Cork, as people from all over the country travelled to see some of the best in the music industry perform live.
Indiependence is famous for celebrating Irish music as well as getting some of the biggest names in the industry. Included in this years extensive line up were surprise special guests The Coronas, Hozier, Public Enemy, Damien Dempsey, Tom Odell, The Sultans of Ping, The Delorentos and Walking On Cars.
In addition to the fantastic line- up there was a craft beer hall where the crowd could escape the rain and chill out during the day listening to some up and coming new artists and then have the time of their lives listening and dancing their socks off to the 80s v 90’s DJ’s who put on a very entertaining show each night!
Indiependence is on a much smaller scale than a lot of other festivals but this is most definitely a positive rather than a negative, the facilities including camping, food, drink, toilets etc are as good as any festival and the fact that its on a smaller scale means everything is so close together which is a major plus as there’s nothing worse than having to walk miles to your car or tent.
The Silent Disco was definitely a crowd favourite as it proved it is as popular as ever, going on to the early hours of the morning and packed up to the last minute!
