Last week I took a trip to The 4 Star Killarney Plaza Spa Hotel and the SUNDARI SPA and had the most amazing time.
The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location, in the middle of the town, so within walking distance of all pubs, shops, restaurants etc. See full hotel review here Places to be: Killarney Plaza Hotel
As part of our stay we booked in for treatments in the Sundari Spa in the hotel and I have to say it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable spa experiences I have EVER had.
SUNDARI is a brand originally created by Christy Turlington who believed if you are well inside you read beautiful on the outside.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly knowledgeable staff who showed us around and explained the treatments in full. The Spa itself its beautiful, clean, relaxing and spacious and from the get go we were more than impressed.
The first treatment we got was the Earth, Fire and Water Serail Therapy. This treatment is perfect for a couple and the perfect start to our experience as we stepped into a dedicated private space. This treatment is all about body boosting, detoxifying and skin brightening, it begins as you enter a cosy sauna room and a sequence of dry heat, essential oil infused steam and light therapy fills the room as you apply muds, relax into a lounger, let your pores open and your mind become at peace. My skin was silky smooth following this treatment and I was totally distressed and relaxed following the experience.
The next treatment we had was the SUNDARI Zana – Facial & Hot Stone Back of Body Massage. This treatment was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and is probably the best treatment I have ever got in spa. This treatment is a signature treatment that is exclusive to the Killarney Plaza. Volcanic stones with an Abhyanga massage caress the legs and back with heat, followed by a full Sundari facial, catered to your skin and dosha needs, leaving the skin radiant and the body and mind as one.
The therapist went through what type of skin I had before using and recommending the different products I should be using. It is a treatment I will definitely be returning for.
We ended up spending close to three hours in the Sundari Spa altogether, it was such a relaxing, enjoyable and luxurious experience and neither of us wanted to leave.
I cannot recommend this hotel and spa enough, if you are looking for a romantic weekend away, or girly trip then look no further.
