Dare to be Different?

The Beacon Hotel as part of the Fitzpatrick Lifestyle Hotel Group has announced their sponsorship of the weekly “Dare to Be Different Style Awards” as part of Bulmers Live at Leopardstown Summer festival series with over €17,000 worth of prizes to be won throughout the Summer.

The Dare to be Different Style Awards was launched at the chic Beacon Hotel.  Guests enjoyed a champagne reception followed by Asian canapés from the Beacon’s award winning My Thai restaurant.  In attendance were Ireland’s leading fashion stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick with her husband Paul, the Clinic’s star Leigh Arnold with her husband Steve Davies, UK Apprentice Pamela Uddin, Red Rock actor Adam Weafer and musician Paddy Casey.  The Launch was hosted by Lisa Fitzpatrick with a live performance by Paddy Casey, who will open Bulmers Live at Leopardstown on June 11th.

The Dare to Be Different Style Awards offers a new concept in Best Dressed Lady/Man Competitions which coincides with 2015 being the year of Irish Design.  The Beacon Hotel is looking for contestants to move beyond classic race day fashion into unique concepts which showcase individual, innovative styles that “dare to be different”.  Every week, at Bulmers Live at Leopardstown, over €2,000 worth of prizes can be won by contestants, who can be either male or female.

Lisa Fitzpatrick, Ireland’s most loved fashion stylist, joins the “Dare to be Different” Judging Panel along with TV presenter Lorraine Keane, actress Leigh Arnold, beauty guru Triona McCarthy, TV weather man Deric Hartigan, TV presenter/journalist Siobhan O’Connor and TV presenter Alan Hughes.  The celebrity judges are hoping to see a range of different styles from classic race day looks to the more quirky and alternative designs.   First place winners will be invited back to compete in the finale of The Beacon Hotel “Dare to be Different” Style Awards on Thursday 13th August, which will be judged by Alan Hughes and Lisa Fitzpatrick.   Grand Finale finalists will be expected to return with a new look to compete for the overall title of “Dare to be Different Style Lady/Man”.  The top prize is a fabulous penthouse staycation at the Morgan Hotel, The Spencer Hotel and the Beacon Hotel worth over €3,000.
