Last month, Brown Thomas officially launched the fifth year of CREATE, an installation that showcases the most extraordinary Irish design talent.
During CREATE 2015, Brown Thomas will play host to a total of 65 Irish designers that have been selected and mentored, providing them with a commercial platform. This year, CREATE will extend to feature new and established designers from the craft world who will sit alongside other Irish talents across ready-to-wear, footwear, swimwear, millinery and jewellery.
Shelly Corkery, Fashion Director of The Brown Thomas Group who is leading the project commented: ‘We are delighted to celebrate the very best in Irish design as we launch the fifth year of CREATE at Brown Thomas Dublin. This year 65 Irish designers will take part in CREATE, a continuation of the Brown Thomas tradition of show casing the very best of Irish design and craftmanship.’
CREATE will feature on all floors in the Dublin store with pop ups also taking place in Brown Thomas Cork and Limerick from the 21st August to the 21st September featuring a selection of the designers involved including Richard Malone, Jill De Burca, Aisling Ahern and Maria Dorai Raj in Cork and Vivien Walsh, Rebecca Marsden, Natalie B. Coleman and Laura Kinsella in Limerick. In Brown Thomas Galway, designers Blaithin Ennis, Fiona Mangan and Martha Lynn will pop up in store until the 16th August.
