Electric Picnic 2015 Stage Times

Chills of excitement are building as The Irish Times officially launch the first batch of stage times for Electric Picnic 2015. With only 4 days to go before the festival of the summer kicks off, we are thrilled to share these times with you.

Not a bad start to EP15 at all as Ham Sandwich kick off this year’s festival on main stage at 6pm and we are sure to be there for a bop. They are followed by an awesome line up including Daithí and The Coronas. The sensational Grace Jones takes to the main stage before Under World close it with 20 year of ground breaking tunes so this is an act that promises to please. James Murphy & 2manyDJ’s are an act not to miss on the Rankin Woods Stage late into the wee hours.

Saturday sees a stormier of a line up starting with our very own The Riptide Movement on the main stage. Future Islands were a highlight  at Barclay’s Summer Nights in Hyde Park, London in June so we are excited to see these guys. Hot Chip are a regular EP act and as always they know how to put on a show. Sam Smith and Blur are a self explanatory acts that will be sure to make the weekend epic! If you’re still going into the early hours of Saturday night, check out Shamir on Body & Soul’s main stage.

On Sunday, Dublin Gospel Choir on the main stage are always a very enjoyable act. But we salute you EP for Sunday’s epic line up…. from The Boomtown Rats, Interpol to Manic Street Preachers, we are HAPPY! And of course the much anticipated Florence and the Machine will close main stage. After Flo’s set at Glastonbury this summer, we are shrieking with excitement for this finale! The Rankin Wood Stage is certainly worth a look with MS MR and Gavin James scheduled to play a 45 minute set each throughout the day. Le Galaxie will close the Rankin Wood Stage so if you’re not a fan of Flo, this is certainly worth checking out.

Stay tuned as on Wednesday the full stage times list will be released.
