There was no shortage of glitz and glamour at the Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday. The prestigious event was at the Microsoft Theatre in LA. You would hardly know that temperatures were soaring with a number of stars wearing heavily embellished glittering gowns.
Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara showcased her enviably curves in a silver strapless St. John gown complete with a fishtail. She teamed the stunning dress with silver jeweled earrings and bangles. The look was completed with a grey smokey eye, chocolate brown lipstick with her hair worn down in natural waves. She was accompanied by her handsome fiancé and Magic Mike star, Joe Manhaniello.
Kerry Washington also opted for a glitzy number and wore a Marc Jacobs, flapper style sequin dress. The Scandal star looked elegant in the three-quarter-length length dress and the 50’s style look was completed with her dark locks worn in a half-up classic style.
Christina Hendricks also dazzled in a gown by Naeem Kahn. The dress was v-neck and heavily embellished with gold studding. Her hair was worn in sultry waves and her look was completed with burnt orange lipstick.
Outstanding actress in a drama series nominee Claire Danes wore a stunning purple Prada dress with shimmering sequins and thick silver chain detail. The rest of her look was kept simple with her her only accessories being a ring and some earrings.
Another sparkly number was worn by Emma Roberts. The stunning actress wore a soft pastel shimmery gown which complimented her skin perfectly. The dress was paired with a metallic box clutch. She completed her old Hollywood glamour look with her elegant curls parted to one side.
TV presenter Giuliana Rancic, 41, also opted for a soft pastel coloured dress. The pink off-the-shoulder dress was also embellished with gems. The dress showed off her figure perfectly as she paired it with a dainty belt which clinched in at the waist. Her hair was worn in a simple centre-party and she accessories with large diamond stud earrings.
Heidi Klum’s sparkly number was a unique sheer shimmering canary yellow dress. The see through sections of her dress showed off her slender pins and the dress was teamed with yellow platform sandals.
Modern Family star Sarah Hyland, wore a figure hugging maroon Zac Posen gown. The fishtail style showed off her stunning curves perfectly. Her blonde hair was worn in gentle wave completing this classy look.
